I didn't buy Orbison's previous releases, but I really love this one. Jels definitely has 'it' : sweet melodies from what sounds like several different instruments (synth, organ, and piano sounds) driven forward with a booming kick and a tasteful vocal phrase. Is that clap from a real TR-808, a clone, or a sample...?

Marco Shuttle hits a grand slam with "The Vox Attitude". It was just repressed, so buy it immediately before it sells out again. 'Cause it will. The a-side /title track is such a gem. This will easily remain one of my favorite tracks of 2011.

Damn, how did I miss this one? Oh right. I don't live in Detroit and this was pressed in some micro-quantity. The DJ Genesis track Bipolar is my favorite on this Psychostasia compilation ep.

All the Demdike Stare releases are sick as fuck. Need to drop a hundo to get the first twelve? Do it. Their latest Liberation Through Hearing is more of the same: pure aural brilliance. Miles Whittaker (MLZ) and Sean Canty are producing gem after gem.
And triple-high-fives to Loop-o (Andreas at Dubplates & Mastering, Berlin) for cutting another ace lacquer.
